With a Little Help from Your Fire Up Your Feet Friends
As your students pack their bags with new pencils, erasers and notebooks to get ready to head back to school this fall, remember that physical activity is equally essential to learning. Research shows that daily physical activity enhances brain performance and improves learning, yet only 4 percent of elementary schools and 8 percent of middle schools provide daily physical activity for students.
Fire Up Your Feet provides tools and resources you can use to encourage your kids and students to be healthy and physically active before, during and after school. As you gear up for another action-packed school year, we can help you get ready for success during the Fall Activity Challenge that takes place October 1-31, 2014. With participation your school becomes eligible to win one of many awards totaling close to $100,000 in cash and prizes.
Weekly ‘Challenge Chats’
