National Awards Announced
For the Love of the Game: Share Your Story Award
At the core of Fire Up Your Feet is the heart and soul that each individual brings to their commitment to healthy, active kids and thriving schools. This Spring Activity Challenge, we invited you to share how your Fire Up Your Feet program is the most innovative and engaged program in the country. Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry! We received some amazing submissions, and are thrilled to announce that Scotts Mills School in Scotts Mills, Oregon is our winner! This school will receive a $500 cash award, and you can read their story here.
Let’s Move Active Schools
In each Fire Up Your Feet participating region, we were proud to partner with Let’s Move Active Schools to recognize schools participating in both programs. These winning schools were selected from a drawing of eligible schools and awarded $500 to support their efforts to ensure that 60 minutes of physical activity is the new norm for students. Congratulations to our winning schools!
